Facilities
Completed in 2009, our purpose-built setting has generously sized with light and stimulating, open plan classrooms.
Outside to the rear there is a large area of covered decking, leading straight from the playroom, allowing for 'free-flow' access. This secure garden offers an exciting digging area, sand and water play, ride-ons and wonderful views over the school field and Salisbury Plain. But our plans don’t stop there! We are currently fundraising to further improve this already fantastic outdoor learning space to include on outdoor classroom.
To the front of the building we are lucky enough to have an additional secure garden, with a wild flower and nature area, as well as planting beds for vegetables, salads and flowers.
In September 2015 we introduced a new observation and assessment system called "2BUILDAPROFILE". This is exactly the same as the system they use in many Primary School Reception classes, where it has proved to be extremely beneficial to the recording and tracking of the children's progress through the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. The new system is operated via each Keyperson's pre-school computerised tablet, upon which all the photographic evidence and links to your child’s achievements against the Early Years Outcomes, will be held, rather than in a paper based "Learning Journey". This system is the very latest and most advanced observation system available to Early Years settings within the UK and is specifically designed to improve the quality and consistency of formative assessment. This online learning journey will be emailed and shared to parents three times within the academic year. This will enable all parents to be actively involved and up to date on their child’s learning and progress, in which you can also comment.
